The Hypnotic Rehearsal to Alleviate Anticipatory Fear
Walk into the moments you dread, an airport queue or a busy flight, with a steady, unbothered calm.
The looping worry before it happens, the constant rehearsal for the worst that could happen, is something a lot of people recognise in themselves, especially when it comes to travel or anything unpredictable.
This session works by first helping you watch old anxious memories from a distance, like observing an actor playing you, so you keep the insight without the sting. It then guides you through a rehearsal of a future event exactly as you would want it, packing a suitcase and moving calmly through security, imagining you are laying tracks for a train called reality, so your mind has calmer ground to travel over.
It runs about fifteen minutes, and many people notice their inner voice sounds a little more certain each time they come back to it, especially before something they once dreaded.
