Maybe there's a face you still see when an old argument replays itself, or a version of yourself you haven't quite forgiven. You know the apology that never came, or the one you never managed to give. That is the weight this session is built to loosen.

You are taken back centuries to a beach in Hawaii, where an old prayer is chanted and quietly turned into four phrases for you to repeat: I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you. Each phrase is held long enough for a feeling to surface underneath it, remorse giving way to gratitude, and finally a plain, unforced love for yourself and for whoever you are picturing. Near the end you're brought back from the beach into the present, carrying whatever has shifted with you.

It runs about 22 minutes, and people often notice they think of the old hurt differently the next time it comes to mind.
