Hypnosis for Smoking to Cope with Stress
Being able to handle stress instead of bracing against it is what this session works toward.
You know that pressure that builds in your chest when things pile up, the squeezing tightness that makes you want to react before you've even thought it through. That's the trigger this session is built around.
Early on, you're guided to picture your body as a glass, its colour shifting as stress and tension are replaced with something more resourceful with each breath. Later, that familiar tightness in your chest is drawn out and imagined crumbling like snow, making room for a feeling of expansion instead of contraction, the sense of a superhero settling into a stance that says I can cope with this.
It runs about fourteen minutes, and it's built to help you build a different relationship with the moment stress usually grabs you, so that pressure starts to feel less like a threat and more like room to think.
