Feeling Safe and Relaxed When Eating Food
Eating out can start to feel calm and safe, wherever you are and whoever you're with.
Maybe you know the pattern: checking the menu twice, or that tight knot in your gut before you've taken a single bite. This session works with the part of you trying to keep you safe, gently guiding those old evaluations towards ones that let you relax.
You're invited to breathe in a bright colour that represents confidence and calm, and breathe out a darker one carrying the old tension with it. From there it walks you through a scene of yourself checking what needs checking, and enjoying a meal with genuine ease, so your mind gets practice at feeling safe rather than just being told to. Simple lines are woven in to repeat quietly at the table, like "it is safe, I know this place, I can trust the cooks here."
It runs about 13 minutes, and it's worth returning to before a meal that feels uncertain, letting that steadier version of yourself come along to the table.
