Detachment From the Anchor of Crippling Anxiety
Move through your day making choices based on what you want, not what you are trying to avoid.
Maybe you know the feeling of anxiety turning up uninvited, treating a red light or a closing door as if it were real danger. You have started to wonder if it is protecting you at all, or just keeping you stuck.
This session uses the image of a heavy anchor tied to your waist on a beach, one you have carried for years without questioning why. As the waves settle and the scene grows still, you are guided to look at what the anchor actually represents, and to consider a simple question for anxious thoughts: prove it. Cutting the rope becomes a way of learning to tell a false alarm from genuine danger, rather than a promise that anxiety disappears.
At around 23 minutes, it gives your mind room to make that distinction on its own terms. Many people find the walk back up the beach easier the second time they take it.
